- The Cold and Extreme Heat: Without shade or clean water, they collapse from dehydration and heatstroke on the burning asphalt. Many die in agony, just steps away from a help they never receive. In the winter, many don’t wake up. They freeze to death curled up
- Disease & Pain: Simple infections that cost a few euros to treat turn into slow, painful death sentences because no one is there to help for free
- Human Cruelty: Many are hit by cars and left to die in a ditch, or worse, they are victims of intentional abuse.
